Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K will NOT fit in your pocket. But it’s a compact-ish (probably bigger than a mirrorless) camera that continues Blackmagic’s development of cameras in new ways. The large built-in monitor makes this quite a compact package for filming,
It records to RAW or Prores codecs, and can shoot with an Arri-style filmic log curve making it possible allowing for greater flexibility in grading later. Unlike most small cameras, it has 10-bit recording allowing more steps to stretch out the log curve.
The MFT mount is useful as it allows all sorts of lenses to be used. We have Arri PL adapters and Canon EF Speedboosters. The Speedboosters are useful as they give you back some wider coverage, since the sensor is smaller than Super35mm or APSC.
Recording options are varied. We supply with an easy external 500gb SSD that bolts on the top via USB-C cable, but can also supply C-Fast cards or SD cards on request.
An improvement over the original pocket camera is that is takes Canon LPE6 batteries that last longer. The power supply connector is a locking one. Audio input is on a mini-XLR cable. The output HDMI is a more robust full-size connector (there is no HD-SDI output).
Can be supplied in a half cage cage with lens support (please request this.
