This new Leica certified 15mm lens has a wide maximum aperture of F1.7. It gives clear fast images with a delicate bokeh.
It’s a compact lens that doesn’t disappoint, designed with a number of key features to ensure quality images. The Panasonic Leica Lumix 15mm lens uses three aspherical lenses arranged with nine elements in seven groups. This reduces spherical aberration and distortion but means the lens can be a lot smaller.
The autofocus is smoothing and silent, and thanks to an inner focus system, the resolution and contrast are excellent throughout the full focal range, from close-up to infinity. Panasonic’s own lens coating helps ensure a clear picture, reducing reflection, ghosting and flares. Designed with video shooting in mind, the lens performs smooth aperture changes and offers excellent tracking performance.
There is a manual AF/MF switch.
