Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Gear Factory’s websites choose to interact with Gear Factory in ways that require Gear Factory to gather personally-identifying information. Where as those wishing to hire camera gear from us will need to provide names, email, address details and personal identification documents, amongst others. In each case, Gear Factory collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Gear Factory. Gear Factory does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain rental activities.

Gear Factory may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Gear Factory may monitor the most popular listings on the site or use a spam plugin service to help identify spam. Gear Factory may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Gear Factory does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
