AMAZING MODIFIED Blackmagic Production Camera 4K PL Mount!
A Blackmagic Production Camera 4K PL mount? You ask. Normally the Blackmagic 4K Production Camera is only available in Canon EF mount, but this one has had a precision German engineered nose job and now has a hard mount PL front. This is strong enough to support most regular PL lenses.
There is a 12mm throat depth clearance and we have tested the following lenses as being usable: Zeiss CP2s. Zeiss Superspeeds, Canon K35s, Lomo anamorphics and the Optimo Zoom 30-80mm.
Now the BMD 4K camera does not have as much dynamic range as its 2.5K brother. But a good reason for using it would be to shoot anamorphic with our Lomo PL mount lenses. The additional resolution mitigates against the reduced dynamic range.
